Documents to show that there is no impediment if either party is not a UK citizen (ask your local registrar for details).
If you re being married by the same registrar, he/she can hold the marriage schedule until the ceremony.
If you are being married in church, or in an alternative venue, the marriage schedule should be collected by the bride or groom no more than seven days before the wedding. It must then be given to the person conducting the ceremony they cannot marry you without it.
All marriages must be witnessed by two people over the age of 16. They must sign the marriage schedule, along with the person carrying out the ceremony.
The schedule must be returned to the registrar three days after the wedding so that it can be officially registered.
