Our page boy is to be carrying the rings at our wedding and we are looking for a very simple satin or velvet ring cushion that the rings could perhaps be tied on to. Any ideas who we might contact?

We are looking to hire tall, free standing candelabras for our wedding but so far we have had no luck in our area. Can anyone help?
|
Jacki Hart
Tillicoultry
Have just got wind of a company who may be able to help in your search for free standing candelabras. It's called 'Ex Showhouse Furniture' and is owned by Loraine and Carlo Sambucci who provide showhomes and film sets with props and special items - and then sell them on to the general public after use. Their number is 0141 552 8599.

I have seen lovely 'name tags' for reception tables that are rectangular and in pink and lilac bar-code style. I havent been able to track them down though. Can you help?
|
Pauline Clifford
Strathclyde
Although I'm not familiar with the exact place name tags you describe, I think you may find Aardvark Cards a helpful company to contact as they are happy to design specific wedding stationery and accessories to order. All they really need is a rough idea from you of what you require and they should be able to come up with something just as good - if not better - than you have seen already! Call 01294 461730 or email aardvarkcards@yahoo.com

My fiance and I are trying to plan for our wedding. We want to have the traditional Celtic/Scottish wedding and use the colours from his family Tartan but we aren't sure where to begin. We know the original spelling for his family name. The name is Colquhoun, although the current spelling he uses is Calhoun. Any help or advice you can give is very helpful at this point as we plan to get married in August of 2003. Thank you.

I know this may sound a bit of a bizarre request, but does anyone know where I could put my hands on mini gold pens - they're for putting with little address books that I'm intending to have as favours.

I'm looking for a Macpherson tartan ribbon for my daughter's wedding. I've tried everywhere.
|
Mary Macpherson
Edinburgh
Sorry Mrs M - the bad news is they don't make a ribbon in Macpherson tartan. Most tartan ribbon you see in shops is supplied by an Irish company - and they only seem to produce four different tartans.
